Last updated: 2026-10-17 Effective: 2026-10-17
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of MatchOps by Match Director HQ, including the websites at matchdirectorhq.com, app.matchdirectorhq.com and score.matchdirectorhq.com and the software made available through them (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Old Johnson Firearms LLC, doing business as Match Director HQ, of New Hampshire, United States (the "Company", "we", "us" or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
1. Definitions
- "Club" means a shooting club, range or other organisation that uses the Service to plan and operate matches.
- "Match" means a shooting competition planned, published or operated by a Club using the Service.
- "Director" means a person whom a Club has authorised, by invitation, to administer that Club's workspace in the Service.
- "Competitor" means a person who registers for, or is entered in, a Match.
- "User Content" means any information, data, text, images or other material that you submit to the Service.
2. The Service
The Service is software for planning and operating precision rifle matches, including designing stages, publishing Matches, accepting registrations, assigning squads and recording scores.
The Company is not a party to, and does not organise, supervise, conduct or control, any Match. Each Match is organised and conducted solely by the Club that publishes it. The Company is not responsible for any act, omission, condition or occurrence at any range or Match.
3. Accounts
3.1 An account is required to register for a Match or to administer a Club. Accounts may be accessed through Google sign-in or with an email address and password.
3.2 You must provide accurate and complete information and keep it current. Directors and Clubs rely on the accuracy of Competitor names and emergency contact details.
3.3 Your account is personal to you. You must not share your account or permit any other person to use it, and you must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
3.4 Director access is granted only by invitation from a Club. The Service does not offer public registration for Directors.
4. Firearms Activities, Safety and Waivers
4.1 Shooting sports involve inherent risks. These Terms do not govern, and the Company assumes no responsibility for, range safety, eligibility, equipment rules or conduct at any Match. Those matters are solely between you and the applicable Club.
4.2 Any waiver accepted in connection with a Match is an agreement between you and the Club that provides it. The Service records that a waiver was accepted, which version was accepted and when. The Company does not author, provide, enforce or interpret any waiver, and nothing in these Terms limits, replaces or interprets any Club's waiver or safety rules.
4.3 Any claim arising from personal injury, death or property damage at a Match is a matter between you, the Club and the range operator, and not a matter for the Company.
5. Acceptable Use
You must not, and must not attempt to:
- gain unauthorised access to the Service or to any data that does not belong to you;
- interfere with, disrupt or place an unreasonable load on the Service;
- use the Service to harass any person or to publish any unlawful material;
- scrape, copy or extract data from the Service, or resell any data it holds; or
- use the Service where you are prohibited from doing so under the laws of the United States.
We may suspend or terminate any account that breaches this section, or that is used in a manner that threatens the Service or its users.
6. User Content and Public Information
6.1 As between you and the Company, you retain whatever rights you hold in your User Content, including a Club's stage designs, inventory photographs and Match details.
6.2 You grant the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce and display your User Content solely to operate the Service as it is designed to operate, including displaying it to the relevant Club, to Competitors and on the Service's public pages.
6.3 Registering for a Match causes your name, division and squad assignment to be published on that Match's public page, together with your scores and placing once the Match is under way. Information that you add to your Competitor profile may also be displayed, as described in the Privacy Policy. If you do not wish this information to be published, you should not register through the Service.
6.4 Directors are responsible for the information they publish about their Club and its Matches.
7. Fees
The Service is currently provided without charge. If we introduce fees, we will give notice before they take effect, and no fee will apply to a Match for which you are already registered.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
8.1 The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. The Service is operated without a support contract or service level commitment.
8.2 Without limiting section 8.1, the Company does not warrant that the Service will be available or uninterrupted, that data will not be lost, or that scores, results or other information produced by the Service will be accurate.
8.3 You should not rely on the Service as your only record of any Match. Clubs and Competitors should keep their own copies of results and other records that matter to them.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any loss of data, loss of results, failure of any Match, or any other loss or damage arising from the Service being unavailable or inaccurate.
10. Suspension and Termination
10.1 You may stop using the Service at any time.
10.2 We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, or if we cease to operate the Service.
10.3 If we cease to operate the Service, we will give reasonable notice and provide a means for you to export your data.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above, and we will announce any material change on the Service.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, United States. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the State of New Hampshire.
